There is an overabundance of information surrounding health, yet most of us are left confused on what is truly best- leaving us discouraged and not knowing how or where to start.
I’ve been there too.
I have struggled with weight, body image, and disordered eating all while forcing myself to exercise. I have counted calories, weighed my food, tracked my steps, and measured my self-worth by the number on the scale.
I have come to learn that health is about so much more than how many calories you consume versus how many you expend. It’s not just about how much you eat, it’s about what you eat, how you eat, when you eat, and where you eat it. It’s about counting the nutrients and colors in your food and getting movement in every day instead of forcing yourself to do something you hate that isn’t sustainable. It’s about lowering stress and making sleep a priority. It’s about reducing the amount of toxic exposure you put your body through and focusing on what you have instead of what you don’t.
My health journey didn’t happen overnight, and there have certainly been many ups and downs and learning experiences throughout my life. I am nowhere near perfect, but I have come a long way.
I believe it is my calling to educate, inspire, and empower others. Wherever you are on your health journey, I hope that you will join me as we learn and grow together, one step at a time. My hope is for you to feel confident in the skin you are in, and not just to live, but to thrive.
