Cocoa vs. Cacao — Other than a few vowels, what’s the difference?

advice Let’s talk about cacao for a minute because this was eye opening for me. Oh and it’s another superfood! 🙌⁣⁣
Cacao and cocoa look basically the same and if you aren’t looking closely you won’t notice the difference in spelling. ⁣⁣
Cocoa powder is processed at a much higher temperature and lots of times contains added sugar and dairy. ⁣⁣
Cacao is processed at low temperatures and is bitter in taste and higher in nutritional content. Minimally processed with no additives, rich in disease-fighting flavanols (which actually have more antioxidants than tea, wine, blueberries and goji berries!). 🍫🙌⁣⁣

Don’t forget about cacao nibs too! Add to nut butters, oatmeal, baked goods, homemade trail mix, granola bars, smoothies, etc! I’ve ordered cacao powder online but they have it at Trader Joe’s! ⁣⁣
From now on try to pay attention to the spelling and choose cacao for more nutrition! 😉👌⁣
